It is indeed "One Big Happy Pub." Enjoy an ice cold root beer in a frosted mug, non-alcoholic beverages, and a variety of snacks and sandwiches. You can play cards, watch the big screen TV, or listen to live music (get an autograph from John Hampton, a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame who came to Chesterwood Village for knee therapy and stayed on as a pub headliner). "One Big Happy Pub" comes from "One Big Happy Family," which is what we promote here in the Doverwood Family of Communities. We want to make our residents and our guests so happy they can't help but smile. The pub was the brainchild of Greg Dixon, one of our owners, whose personal touch is evident in every nook and cranny. The small sign out front credits Greg as the founder. Where do you think we got the sign outside that says "EST. 1960"? Hint: "Happy Birthday to Greg." There will always be room for our friends and family at O'Smyley's.
