Classics.  Comedy.  Cartoons.  We offer both matinee and evening showings of your favorite films in the most beautiful and comfortable retro movie house around.  It’s just like the good old days with popcorn, candy and soft drinks.  A fresh new movie plays each day at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and like all other Main Street attractions is accessible to everyone.  There’s even a glass-railed balcony for viewing from the second floor of the stately theater.  And did we mention that the custom-designed sound system is equally remarkable?  The Doverwood Family of Communities has a colorful butterfly as its corporate symbol, so naming the theater was easy:  its starts out as a caterpillar, and becomes the most beautiful of the winged species.  Special events are also held in the Monarch Cinema for our guests and residents, and the best part is that you never have to leave home to see a movie.
